Happy Independence Day!

As we take a moment to reflect on our country’s independence, I can’t help but focus in on the great sacrifice made by the brave men and women who worked as a team and became an insurmountable force who defeated the greatest military in their pursuit of independence.

Although we as a company are not faced with such life and death challenges, I can see many of the attributes that made the founding of our country successful at work in our company. We, like our founding fathers, have a collective vision for a better way of life. While - more importantly, being able to set aside differences, personal goals, and utilize the specialized skill set to create a team that can overcome any obstacle that we may face.

While exhibiting these attributes throughout our day, we are able to unify each skill set within our company to provide a customer oriented service. For instance,
· Vehicle handlers – who load / unload every railcar every day.
· Switchers – who spot multi-level equipment on time every time.
· Mechanical prep – who ensure multi-levels are safe for vehicle handlers and our customers product.
· Quality team – who ensure our customer’s product is handled as expected and our associates go home to their loved ones safely everyday.
· Operations Managers – who ensure our company resources are allocated at the right place at the right time.
· IT department – who make all the gadgets work.
· Maintenance team – who keep the wheels turning.
· And last but not least, Our Corporate Staff – who support all those out in the field while ensuring the bills get paid along with We the People.

As our founding fathers proved with the liberation of our country, our company too can do great things by doing the right thing at the right time for the right reason.
